Eric H. Roth is president and founder of International Jet Interiors, a boutique aircraft completion center based at Long Island MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma, New York. The Epstein archive documents 7,740 emails spanning from 1994 to June 2019, revealing an extensive business relationship that evolved to include personal favors, including Epstein's assistance with Roth's daughter's university admission and housing.
Summary#
Eric Roth has led International Jet Interiors since 1986, providing custom aircraft interior design and refurbishment services for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, including presidents and CEOs. The company specializes in design, engineering, cabinetry, upholstery, avionics, and entertainment systems for private jets and helicopters. Public reporting confirms Roth worked with both Jeffrey Epstein and President Donald Trump on aircraft modifications.
The archive shows Roth maintained continuous contact with Epstein from at least 2009 through June 2019, just weeks before Epstein's arrest. Their relationship centered on multiple aircraft refurbishment projects, including helicopter interior design work that continued into spring 2019. In 2013-2014, Roth solicited Epstein's help getting his daughter Rachel admitted to the University of Michigan, exchanging detailed correspondence about her application essays and strategies. According to news reports, Epstein provided Roth's daughter with a one-month studio apartment at 301 East 66th Street, a building Epstein managed. Roth also met Epstein at his Manhattan townhouse on multiple occasions and received Apple products through Epstein's bulk purchasing arrangements.
Background#
Eric H. Roth founded International Jet Interiors in 1986 at Long Island MacArthur Airport. The company has become what industry publications describe as a "world-renowned" completion center specializing in luxury aircraft interiors. In a 2018 interview with Jetcraft, Roth stated he "grew up around the aviation industry" and was introduced to aircraft by his father at an early age.
According to a 2013 CNBC feature, Roth's clients include billionaires seeking multi-million dollar aircraft makeovers, with projects sometimes exceeding $2 million for interior refurbishments alone. A 2015 CNBC interview confirmed Roth refurbished Donald Trump's S-76 helicopter. The company is FAA and EASA approved with experience on Gulfstream, Boeing, Global Express, Challenger, Legacy, Falcon, Hawker, and Sikorsky aircraft.
In February 2024, local Long Island news outlets reported that Roth had been named in over 5,400 results in the DOJ's public Epstein document search as a business associate from at least 2009 to 2019. The reporting noted that emails showed Epstein provided Roth's daughter with a one-month studio apartment at 301 East 66th Street, an Upper East Side building Epstein managed. A February 2025 Detroit Free Press investigation into parents who sought Epstein's help with University of Michigan admissions identified Roth, who briefly acknowledged working with Epstein on jet designs but declined further comment.
Correspondence with Epstein#
The archive contains 7,740 emails between Roth and Epstein's network, spanning November 1994 to June 3, 2019. Roth appears as sender in 3,499 emails and as recipient in 4,010. The correspondence intensified substantially from 2009 onward, concentrated on aircraft refurbishment projects and personal matters.
Helicopter Interior Design (2009-2019)
The most extensive documented work involved Sikorsky S76 helicopter interior design. In January 2010, correspondence discussed pricing for an S76D model, with Larry Visoski noting that Keystone's quote was "close to 13 Million" and that "Eric Roth to complete the interior" was among the significant cost items. In July 2011, Epstein asked Visoski about a potential aircraft purchase, inquiring "did eric roth ever get back regarding interior".
By 2019, Roth was actively working on an S76C++ helicopter interior. On April 1, 2019, Roth sent Epstein a detailed email outlining design guidance Epstein had provided: "Modern (less serious – futuristic)," "Monochromatic color scheme," "Wider arm rest on aft divan," and "Seats that 'cradle / support' the passenger." Epstein had emphasized vibration reduction, writing that "seat design. will be the most difficult. helis vibrate a lot!!.. its not a car seat or an airplane seat or a home sofa" and stressing the need for "isolation mounts.. gels. vibration dampers".
In March 2019, Roth asked whether Epstein wanted to "create a 'Hermes' influenced interior" for the helicopter. Epstein replied he preferred "more like honda jet. interior . less serious. futuristic". Throughout May 2019, Roth and designer Eileen McDowell sent Epstein interior renderings, discussing details like seat bolsters, headrests, and armrest positioning. Epstein reviewed designs closely, noting on May 17 that "Detail of middle not correct" in one rendering.
Design meetings occurred at Epstein's townhouse. On May 7, 2019, Roth confirmed a meeting, writing "Morning!! Reconfirming 12:30pm with Jeffrey. 9 east 71st Street between 5th and Madison". When Epstein was running late, he asked Roth to "make it 1pm! Jeffrey is running a bit late...! OK?", to which Roth agreed.
The final documented helicopter-related email was on June 3, 2019, when Lesley Groff asked Roth if he had spoken with Jeffrey, just weeks before Epstein's July 2019 arrest.
Gulfstream G550 Interior Refurbishment
Roth also worked on Epstein's Gulfstream G550. In March 2019, Roth and Visoski coordinated bringing the G550 to International Jet Interiors to replace foam in the divan mattress with Epstein's "new foam" before a trip to Paris. Roth suggested this would provide "an ideal amount of time / situations to really get a feel for your level of comfort and satisfaction". Epstein agreed, writing "If you would you have the fosm and fabric if not too much trouble we could test as you suggest. U have been very accommodating".
Boeing BBJ Project
In October 2016, Visoski arranged for Roth to meet Epstein at 8am at his townhouse to "discuss the potential work scope for this BBJ" (Boeing Business Jet). Visoski asked if Roth had "wood samples / floor plan blanks" and noted Epstein was "thinking of conference table reinstall like original floor plan." An assistant noted that Epstein might "go watch Woody shoot his movie" after "his meeting at 8am with Eric Roth".
University of Michigan Admissions Assistance (2013-2014)
In October 2013, Roth sought Epstein's help getting his daughter Rachel admitted to the University of Michigan. On October 26, 2013, Roth sent Epstein a "copy of my daughter Rachel's early action application", writing "Rachel is a bright, intelligent young lady who is dying to go to this school and as her parent, I am hoping and very appreciative of your help". He noted he had "provided Larry with a hard copy" as he left Epstein's aircraft.
Epstein reviewed the application critically, pointing out that "the grammatical errors and spelling mistakes will make it at least harder for early admission. for ex . the short letter which accompanies her attachment says she is ' exited'". When Roth acknowledged the typo, Epstein asked about "what special talents does she have? sports?" Roth responded that Rachel played "JV and Varsity tennis" and ran a non-profit called Inspire Bright, along with writing for a Long Island magazine and managing social media for local businesses.
Epstein provided strategic guidance, explaining that "the purpose of the essay , is not a confessional. it is merely to look at critical presentation skills writing ability, orgazniation of thoughts". Roth defended the essay's quality, noting it was proofread by Adam Dressler from Private Prep, who "graduated cum laude from Harvard (A.B. in Classics), Boston University (M.A. in Poetry) and Columbia University (M.F.A. Creative Writing)".
After Rachel was deferred, Roth contacted Epstein in January 2014, noting that "a couple of kids who had previously been deferred got accepted today" and asking "What do you advise as the next step?" In April 2014, when asked to provide new accomplishments for an appeal letter, Roth joked about Rachel becoming a "Lesbian Eskimo" or "Schvartze" to meet diversity criteria, writing "This process is grueling. I would rather fly down to Guantanamo tomorrow and be water boarded for the day".
Epstein counseled that university categories "breaks down into academoc, diveristy, extran cuurical sports etc. you guys need to stress only one". Contemporary news accounts report that Epstein provided Roth's daughter with a studio apartment at 301 East 66th Street, though this arrangement is not detailed in the email archive.
Business and Personal Logistics
Routine coordination included scheduling, material delivery, and project management. In June 2017, Groff arranged for Epstein's driver Jojo Fontanilla to pick up carpet samples and deliver them to Roth's office. Conference calls were scheduled through Epstein's assistants. On July 18, 2018, Groff confirmed a "2:00pm Conference Call tv/Eric Roth, Eileen, Larry and Jay" along with Epstein's other appointments.
In November 2018, Roth received an Apple Watch through HBRK Associates, Epstein's corporate entity, as part of a bulk order that included watches for Epstein's staff. The shipping notification listed both HBRK's address at 575 Lexington Avenue and International Jet Interiors as delivery locations.
Connections#
Roth's primary contact in Epstein's network was Jeffrey Epstein himself, with 6,442 shared emails. Larry Visoski, Epstein's longtime pilot, appears in 1,277 shared emails, coordinating aircraft logistics and maintenance schedules.
Jay Massar and Eileen McDowell, who worked with Roth at International Jet Interiors, appear in 631 and 411 shared emails respectively, primarily on design and project matters. Rich Kahn, who managed Epstein's finances through HBRK Associates, appears in 338 shared emails.
Lesley Groff, Epstein's longtime assistant, coordinated 170 emails with Roth, handling meeting scheduling and logistics. Other International Jet staff including Maurice Blibaum also appear in project correspondence.
Document References#
Roth appears in multiple document formats beyond standard email correspondence. Flight-related documents from the archive show discussions of Sikorsky helicopter specifications and Boeing BBJ floor plans. In a March 2015 exchange, Rich Kahn forwarded to Epstein an email from Roth promoting a CNBC feature on International Jet Interiors, asking Epstein for guidance on how to respond to Roth's offer of a $10,000 discount. Gulfstream G550 service proposals from 2016-2017 reference interior refurbishment work coordinated between Roth and Visoski.
