# Introduction

> Public data API for the Jmail email archive

<Note>
  **v1 — Released February 25, 2026.** The Jmail Data API is stable and ready for production use. See the [changelog](/changelog) for details.
</Note>

The **Jmail Data API** provides free, open access to the Jeffrey Epstein email archive — House Oversight Committee, Department of Justice, and Yahoo account releases. All data is served as static [Parquet](https://parquet.apache.org/) files from `data.jmail.world` -- no API keys, no rate limits, no authentication. Visit [data.jmail.world](https://data.jmail.world) for manual access to the data.

## Data Sources

All data in Jmail comes from three primary sources:

* **[House Oversight Committee](https://oversight.house.gov/release/oversight-committee-releases-additional-epstein-estate-documents/)** (November 2025) — Gmail emails, converted from PDFs to structured text
* **[Department of Justice](https://www.justice.gov/epstein/doj-disclosures)** (December 2025 – January 2026) — Documents, photos, and emails released per the Epstein Files Transparency Act
* **[DDoSecrets](https://ddosecrets.org/)** — Yahoo emails published in collaboration with [Drop Site News](https://www.dropsitenews.com), added in weekly batches

## Base URL

All datasets are served from:

```
https://data.jmail.world/v1/
```

## Formats

Every dataset is available in two formats:

* **Parquet** (`.parquet`) -- columnar binary format, best for analytics
* **NDJSON** (`.ndjson.gz`) -- gzipped newline-delimited JSON, for streaming/scripting
